Interior Landscape
Interior Landscape, a collaborative installation between Ashwini Bhat and Forrest Gander, imagines an eco-poetics of Place. Exploring the structure of Tamil Sangam poetry, South-Indian temple architecture, and paleo-acoustics, “Interior Landscapes” invites viewers to cross borders of time, culture, and geography via the most intimate of gestures: the touch of a finger in clay, love poems in and out of translation, prayer, meditation, and rhythmic pulse. The installation was first exhibited at the Cohen Gallery, Brown University, RI, and later at Arion Press, San Fransisco, CA.
